The Beauty & Vital Hotel Maria is a small hotel with only 30 rooms and suites, and this allows us to maintain a personal and friendly relationship with all our guests: we, the Braito family, are personally present in the hotel and we like to think this is a guarantee of quality for our guests.

We wanted to create a relaxed and quiet atmosphere—welcoming and personalized. Our commitment has always been to avoid any kind of inconvenience for you, our dear guests, and to ensure you a serene and extremely pleasant holiday.

It is not difficult to give in, seated at our table, and surrender to the pleasure of the palate.
In the bright restaurant, in the old 18th-century Stube, and in summer also outdoors among the flowers in the garden, the table is set with care, the service is kind, punctual and attentive.
“We are what we eat”—and we truly believe it…
That is why we choose to use mainly the many fresh local and regional products: fresh seasonal vegetables and aromatic herbs from our garden, certified Trentino meat, cheeses from the local cooperative dairy, local fruit in season (otherwise exclusively Italian produce), and wines mainly from our region: with us you will rediscover the taste of quality!

Good morning, sleepyheads!

A good day starts in the morning with our sumptuous breakfast buffet, which in summer you can also enjoy in the sun in the garden. We pamper you with many types of fresh bread and homemade toast bread, various croissants, and cakes and biscuits of many kinds—all homemade. Our own delicious jams, local honey, many types of muesli, wonderful organic South Tyrolean yogurts and milk from small producers, the tasty cured meats of our tradition, local cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit, dried fruit, preserved fruit, many types of seeds, hot egg dishes made with fresh eggs from our happy hens,

organic farm apple juice, water flavored with our wonderfully fragrant mint in summer, freshly squeezed Sicilian orange juice in winter—enjoy your breakfast!

In the afternoon, let yourself be spoiled by a tasty snack of local specialties, sweet and savoury, accompanied by fresh seasonal fruit...

the excellent anti-acid herbal tea produced exclusively for us by a qualified herbalist, in addition to fresh seasonal fruit.

Every day we pamper you by serving a 4/5-course gourmet menu, accompanied by a rich selection of fresh salads and seasonal vegetables with different dressings...

Cheese lovers will certainly appreciate the board of local cheeses selected daily by our Chef Monica, accompanied by homemade fruit mustards and bread...

Summer | Well-being in Nature

Here, summer is pleasantly cool, sunny and peaceful. You can hear the sound of cowbells nearby… in our 10,000 m² park where roe deer wander, we have planted more than 100 lavender plants, and you will find sun loungers and a table-tennis table.

For guests who want an active holiday, we offer the use of our bicycles and participation in two weekly guided excursions: we can’t wait to go on some wonderful hikes together with you!

As we always say to our guests: our gym is Nature!

Our guests receive the Trentino Guest Card free of charge, which provides free travel on all public transport—buses and the tourist train, village shuttles, trains throughout Trentino—as well as admission to more than 40 museums, including the famous MuSe and Mart, and many romantic castles...

We are in a small historic village: discover it by strolling through the side streets, enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains, and admire the many frescoes by the famous painter Camillo Rasmo, who loved this place so much that he depicted it in many of his paintings.

The church of San Nicolò dates back to the year 1100 and is well worth a visit in Carano;

the Ethnographic Museum of the people of Carano, an attraction also mentioned by Lonely Planet, will show you what rural life was like until just a few decades ago...

Our valley offers endless leisure opportunities: classical music concerts, dance evenings for every taste, cinema and theatre, shows and exhibitions, many interesting themed trails, and two fascinating nature parks: the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park https://parcopan.org/en/

A magnificent winter in Nature

Winter is magnificent here in Val di Fiemme: snow covers everything and it feels like living in an ancient fairy tale.

The slopes are beautifully groomed, and the modern, fast lifts promise wonderful days on the skis up to 2,300 metres of altitude.
Cross-country ski trails are second to none as well: Val di Fiemme is the only place in the world to have hosted the Ski World Championships three times—1991, 2003 and 2013!

Val di Fiemme becomes Olympic: in fact, the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will take place here—specifically the events for Cross-Country Skiing, Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping. Congratulations!

At Hotel Maria we are happy to recommend the best descents, the best itineraries for cross-country skiing, and the most scenic and spectacular walks… and to welcome you back with a Tyrolean afternoon snack on your return!
Perfect active holidays also for singles, with the possibility of many guided activities!
You can look forward to 100 km of wonderful slopes in the Fiemme/Obereggen ski area with 47 brand-new lifts, the sunny kingdom of cross-country skiing at Passo Lavazè with more than 120 km of trails, the Lago di Tesero Cross-Country Centre, and the Marcialonga tracks. Daytime entry to the Lago di Tesero Cross-Country Centre and to the Marcialonga track is FREE for our guests with the Guest Card.
Our guests can join an evening walk accompanied by our hostess: what better opportunity to get to know our ancient village, the history of the valley and the many groomed trails even in winter!
And then there is the snowshoe hike accompanied by our guide, in the magic of the snowy forest or along the wide sunny ridges of our valley.

At your disposal you will find winter Nordic walking poles and backpacks. Discounted rental of skis, snowboards and snowshoes is available directly at the hotel.

From 20 December to 6 January, the Christmas market awaits you in the courtyard of the Palace of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme: the perfect opportunity for unusual shopping in a romantic setting.

Dolomiti Activity

The Dolomites, the Pale di San Martino, the Latemar Group, the Lagorai range… our world!
We are right on the Dolomites, the most beautiful mountains in the world. All around us are the mountains declared in Seville as being “of outstanding universal value” by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. From Hotel Maria we can see the Pale di San Martino and the Latemar Group rising high; just a few kilometres away we can go down to explore the Rio delle Foglie/Bletterbach, the largest canyon in Europe, or climb up to the Marmolada, the only glacier in the Dolomites.
Four of the nine Dolomite UNESCO World Heritage sites, with their sublime beauty, are right on our doorstep, and the wild Lagorai range, with its untouched wilderness, is directly in front of us.
Val di Fiemme: this is our world. We love our land and we are happy if we can help our guests discover it and fall in love with it too, both in the charm of winter and in the bright radiance of summer.
